• El programa tiene como objetivo crear conciencia sobre la historia y los problemas relacionados con el Mundo Maya, así como otras culturas, e identificar y abordar problemas en la región. Este programa es hasta el momento gratuito y abierto a todos, incorporando no sólo a más participantes, entre profesores y estudiantes de universidades locales y extranjeras sino también a un público general no especializado.

• The program aims to raise awareness about the history and issues concerning the Maya World and other cultures and identify and address problems in the region. This program is free and open to all so far, not only incorporating more participants, including professors and students from local and foreign universities but also to a non-specialized general public.

​"Amaru's Awakening Reconnection Journey: Connecting Cultures and Communities"

• This program seeks to address the need for preserving and promoting the rich cultural heritage of the Mississippian and Maya culture fostering greater understanding and appreciation among diverse communities in Georgia. With support from the Georgia Humanities grant funds, the project will organize a series of events and activities that are free and open to the public. The primary need for this project arises from the importance of preserving and celebrating the cultural heritage of the Maya culture, which holds significant historical, artistic, and linguistic value.

​Bio-Expeditions and Cultural

​Workshops

•  This program offers cultural visitors the chance to explore the unknown past and present of Maya communities through personalized and educational bio-expeditions. Join us as we delve into the ancient traditions of our Maya ancestors and explore the fascinating world of cacao cultivation, honey production with Maya stingless bees, and the traditional chewing gum-making process. These workshops are not just educational experiences; they are opportunities for Maya descendants to reconnect with their roots.  Led by experienced anthropologists, biologists, archaeologists and supported by community leaders, the expeditions aim to integrate the biodiversity of the regions visited. The program includes day activities in the Botanical Garden of Puerto Morelos and outdoor expeditions to Classic and Postclassic Maya sites (this is a fee based program).

• This program involves networking and collaboration with two US universities and Mexican Universities to update the Archaeological Atlas of Quintana Roo and the Electronic Atlas of Ancient Maya Sites. By incorporating new sites and data, the program aims to enhance archaeological knowledge and research in the Maya Forest Atlas.
