JUNE 2024
Donation of Chromebooks and Brain Pop Subscription to Escuela Primaria Felipe Carrillo Puerto
On June 23, 2024, the Maya Heritage Center had the pleasure of donating five Chromebooks and a Brain Pop subscription to Escuela Primaria Felipe Carrillo Puerto in Tinum, Yucatán. This generous contribution aims to bridge the digital divide and enhance educational opportunities for students in the community.
It is important to note that the Chromebooks and Brain Pop software are not the end goal but part of a comprehensive plan to support students' academic achievement. By integrating these resources into the daily curriculum, we aim to develop digital skills, improve literacy, and enhance overall educational outcomes for the students.
The donated Chromebooks will provide students with essential tools for learning and exploring new subjects through interactive and engaging content on Brain Pop. This innovative educational app covers a wide range of topics, from science and math to history and language arts, designed to make learning fun and effective.
The official presentation took place with the school’s principal, Daniel Virgilio Ek Hau, and dedicated teachers in attendance. The photo above captures this special moment, highlighting the excitement and gratitude shared by all.
