VOLUNTEERS


IF YOU ARE A STUDENT: ​We provide opportunities for members to volunteer to support Maya Heritage Center activities and initiatives. Activities: Photos and Videos for our blog - Volunteer: to keep track of member communications - Volunteer: Develop Emojis for Maya culture programs Students are the first to know about any upcoming events, initiatives, and opportunities.

IF YOU ARE AN ADULT WITH A PROFESIONAL EXPERTISE:  We provide for members to volunteer to support Maya Heritage Center activities and initiatives. Help organizing meetings, conferences, or symposiums, to engage with existing members and foster a sense of community. 


IF YOU ARE AN ADVOCATE OF THE MAYA CULTURE:  We provide for volunteers to support Maya Heritage Center activities and initiatives.   Open Volunteer Positions:
  • Director of Programs and Initiatives: - Manages the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs and projects - Responsible for fundraising, partnerships, and stakeholder engagement
  • Director of Community Engagement: - Foster relationships with local communities, native groups, and cultural organizations - Facilitates community outreach - Implements initiatives to promote cultural heritage awareness, education, and empowerment among diverse audiences
  • Director of Research and Development: - Identifies research priorities, secures grants and funding, and publishes scholarly works and reports - Supports capacity-building efforts, training programs, and knowledge dissemination activities within the organization
  • Director of Technology and Innovation: - Drives digital transformation, technology adoption, and innovation initiatives to enhance program delivery and impact - Explores emerging technologies, tools, and platforms to optimize operational efficiency and effectiveness - Activities: Photos and Videos.
